I bought a Metra Car Stereo Installation Kit from auto zone for GM. I have a 1991 Buick Skylark and i have been trying to replace the stock stereo receiver. But when i try to put the kit together my receiver doesn't fit. Can anyone help me out? I have been trying to put it together for so long and i cant figure it out.|||When you say it doesn't fit, is it too deep or will not fit into the kit's slot. Metra isn't the best quality kits as far as fitment goes. I've used them but often have to "massage" the openings and such. A file or dremel tool can be used to do that. If the head unit is too deep, you may have the wrong kit or head unit for your car. There are some kits that have an extended face for deeper units, but if one is not available for your application, consider using a shallower head unit with similar features you want.
