How similar is the chassis of a 1996 buick regal and a 1996 grand am?

Can I install a hitch receiver designed for a 1996 grand am on my 1996 buick regal without too much difficulty?|||I think it would be slightly different, but you could still go ahead and get one fitted by a tow hitch specilist.
