Heater problem in my 1999 Buick, here I was told possible heater core what mechanic should I take it to?

I live in Richmond, Va . 99 Buick


Car isn't blowing heat or ac and not making any sounds. Any shop names you know of that I should take it to that specializes in this. Thanks|||First you need to get your dash blower fan fixed since it should come on no matter what other problems you have. Sometimes the fan resistor pack will blow out and the fan will only work on the highest speed setting. That is an easy job and the fan resistor can be replaced under the dash. Otherwise, there may be a blown fuse or your fan blower motor may have failed. Check out these professional shops near you:

An option is to have them cap it off, so that you have time to save money up to fix it, thats what I had to do. Im not in VA sorry. Use google maps use search nearby and find reviews of mechanics in your local area. It is a bisic thing to repair or cap off.|||Just take it to any Mech. its a relativly easy fix, most of them can do it, if not find a dealer and be ready to pay an arm and a leg to fix it. Or you can do it yourself. (%26lt; alot cheaper that way) hit up Napa, get the parts, its like 4 bolts you have to remove, most of hte time ther right on top, it lifts right out, its like a mini turbine like fan, unplug the plugs, drop the new one in, bolt it down,plug it back in, your done. nice and easy.|||your heater is 2 systems, the electrical part that is the fuse, resistor, blower motor and switch that actually makes the air flow and the heater core that has hot water from the cooling system, the 2 work together but are not the same, if its not blowing its the blower motor side, most likely the blower module/resistor or the motor itself, any dealer could check this for you quickly and tell you exactly what it cost for fix it.|||yes it could be a fuse it is not the heater core or you would have anti freeze on the passenger floor if it isnt a fuse then it is the heater control or the blower motor also if the core was bad it would blow air but fog up your winshield|||if the blower is,nt working then your dad could be right about the fuse. if it,s not blowing then maybe the blower went out or the switch on the dash went bad.
