How do I get power to a newly installed radio in my 1996 Buick Skylark Custom?

I have a 1996 Buick Skylark Custom, it is a used vehicle by private owner and came without the radio. We bought a new one and my husband installed it and everything is hooked up per the wiring diagram but it is not getting any power, it wont turn on, NO POWER at all. ALL help appreciated.

thanks|||A car stereo needs two power sources.

One is a constant 12VDC source (to keep the clock settings, radio presets etc).

One is a switched 12VDC source which supplies the main power to to stereo.

Both of these are fused at the fuse box.

You will have one marked radio or "RDO" and another marked "CIG" or "DOME".

Check all the fuses in the fuse box.
