How to unlock a Buick steering wheel?

The steering wheel of our Buick car is locked so we're unable to turn the key. The wheel will turn just a tiny bit back and forth but it won't come unlocked no matter how much we wiggle it. The key will go in the ignition but won't turn. What to do?|||Check your car key. Does it have an horizontal grove in the very tip of it? If so, it has been worn down enough so that the ignition switch (anti-theft system) thinks you are trying to start the car with the incorrect key. Try lightly tapping the end of the key when it has been inserted in the ignition switch, it might "fool" the system enough so you can start the car.|||If you haven't been able to get your key out yourself take it to a reputable shop so a mechanic can fix it for you. You will probably need a new ignition lock cylinder. Not hard to replace but the steering wheel will have to come off. Since it doesn't work, take some pliers and king kong it out of there. In the lock position. Then try an extra key and see if that works.|||I have a Buick Century. The wheel locks when you get out of the car sometimes. To unlock it, turn the wheel in the direction that moves while simultaneously turning the key.|||Try your "other" key.

That one doesn't work.
