When my 1991 Buick Regal is idling the oil pressure drops to about 10 but when im driving its up to about 40. The motor is the V6 3800. It has plenty of oil. However i do have an oil leak somewhere on the back of the motor more towards the passenger side, i cant exactly tell where.....Thank you.|||The oil pump runs off the crank.
It puts out less at idle.
When you increase speed it puts out more presuuure till the relief valve
opens to limit the pressure..
